Posted by Ruger, the prominent Nigerian singer, has disclosed that he is the owner of two weapons.
The Blown Boy leader revealed this in a recent interview with content creator Timi Agbaje, during which he talked about the motivation behind his stage moniker.
“What is the inspiration behind the name Ruger?” inquired the interviewer.
Ruger answered, “Mehn, it’s a gun.”
Is it a gun, the interviewer questioned? You own a gun, then?
Ruger answered, “Yes, I do.” I’ve got two.
The artist did not say if the firearms he possesses are authorized or not.
Last year, Olukayode Egbetokun, the Inspector-General of Police, declared that there was “a temporary ban on the issuance of firearms,” emphasizing that the police force was “mopping up arms in circulation.”
“We may review it later, but we are not issuing firearms licenses nationwide at this time,” he continued.
